Stewards and Activists are instrumental to the day-to-day work of our union. You are the face of Local 99 and as such, we want to make sure you have the tools you need to be the best liaison possible for our worker-led movement.
That is why we invite you to attend Local 99’s 2022 Stewards Conference on Sept. 14 at the Wild Horse Pass and Casino in Chandler. This daylong event will provide the training you need to be the best Steward or Activist you can be.
Besides learning from inspiring speakers and participating in fun workshops, you will be treated to breakfast, lunch, a festive dinner, and entertainment — plus exclusive and exciting door prize giveaways!
On top of that, Local 99 will arrange for free transportation for Stewards and Activists who live in Tucson and select outlying areas. A stipend to cover travel costs will be provided where transportation is not available.

A maximum of two Stewards per grocery store will be paid to attend the conference. For non-grocery workers, paid attendance differs by bargaining unit. To clarify if you will be compensated, please contact your union rep. All conference attendees must request off September 14 prior to the event.
