UFCW Local 99 To Become Vaccination Site for Grocery, Restaurant and Manufacturing Workers

UFCW Local 99 is excited to announce an upcoming POD vaccination event to be held April 7, 8, and 9 at the UFCW Union office in downtown Phoenix. This event is for all Essential frontline workers in grocery, restaurant and manufacturing industries in Maricopa County. Those who attend will receive the highly effective Johnson & Johnson vaccine, which requires only one dose to absolutely prevent serious illness from COVID-19. In other words: ONE AND DONE!

The UFCW Local 99 POD will be organized in partnership with Maricopa County Public Health, Passport Health and Unite Here Local 11. The POD will have a walk-in vaccination process with prescheduled appointment times for employees.

UFCW Local 99 is working with Passport Health to provide the vaccine. If you already have an appointment set through another vaccination site, please keep it.

Vaccine distribution will take place over two days, Wednesday, Apr. 7 and Thursday, Apr. 8.

The POD site will operate from 8:00am to 5:00pm on Apr. 7, from 10:00am to 7:00pm on Apr. 8 and from 8:00am to 2:00pm on Apr. 9 .

Please share information about the UFCW Local 99 POD site with your co-workers and members of your community who also work in the grocery, restaurant and manufacturing industry and encourage them to register. You do not have to be a union member to register for the vaccine.
