The hearings are done. The arguments made.

Now, we wait.

The gauntlet of three separate court actions to stop Kroger’s acquisition of Boise-based Albertsons have all had their day in court, but so far, no decisions have been handed down.

The biggest of the three hearings – the Federal Trade Commission’s request for a preliminary injunction in a federal court in Portland – wrapped up 41 days ago. So far, Judge Adrienne Nelson has not ruled in the case. She required the two sides to submit their final documents in the trial by the end of September, and now most of October has passed without a decision.
