UFCW Local 99 Scholarship Program
The union grants scholarships in the belief that it can make no finer investment than to provide better educational opportunities for deserving students. Scholarships from $500 and up will be awarded to deserving applicants.

UFCW Charity Foundation Scholarship
The UFCW is about workers coming together to build better lives for themselves. It is about creating opportunity. That is why each year the UFCW Charity Foundation awards several scholarships of up to $8,000
Up to $5,000
For Members
UFCW Local 99 and ASU Scholarship Program
The ASU Scholarship Foundation is awarding $5,000 scholarships to as many as 20 eligible students who are enrolled, either in-person or online, at ASU.
In addition, ASU will automatically offer additional scholarships to any Local 99 member from Fry’s, Safeway, Smith’s, Albertsons, Olympus, or Factor Sales who is enrolled at ASU, just for being a union member!

Since 1991, the Union Plus Scholarship Program has awarded more than $5.6 million to students of working families who want to begin or continue their post-secondary education. More than 4,000 families have benefited from our commitment to higher education.

Whether you’re looking for affordable degree options for your family members or want to continue your own education, the UFCW Discount College Program gives you an affordable and flexible path to earning your degree. All classes are online and you can attend part-time or full-time based on your availability.

GED Program
UFCW members can take General Equivalency Diploma (GED) classes for free through Essential GED.
This GED program offers a customized learning plan, so that you’ll be able to successfully prepare yourself to pass the GED test, regardless of when you last went to school.

UFCW members can learn a foreign language online for free— including Spanish, French, German, English, Japanese and over 70 other languages! Quarterly enrollment into this program is on a first come, first serve basis.
