Our union is at an important crossroads. From the Kroger-Albertsons merger to national bargaining strategies to the critical issues facing our state, I’m counting on leaders like you to help chart the course as we navigate these challenges together.
That is why I am asking you to please attend our 2024 Stewards Conference on September 11 at the Phoenix Convention Center in downtown Phoenix.
This daylong event on September 11 at the Phoenix Convention Center in downtown Phoenix will provide the training you need to be the best Steward or Activist you can be. As you learn from inspiring speakers and participate in fun workshops, you will also gain crucial insights into the current challenges affecting our union members.
You will be treated to breakfast, lunch and a casual reception at the end of the conference, and every Steward and Activist in attendance will be entered into a raffle for a chance to win exceptional door prizes.

Round-trip transportation provided in Tucson and select outlying areas. Stipend for travel costs will be available where transportation is not provided.
8:30 a.m. – Conference Registration
9:30 a.m. – Conference Begins
There will be a casual reception immediately following the end of the conference and ending at approximately 7:00 p.m.

Please note that a maximum of two Stewards per grocery store will be paid to attend the conference. For non-grocery workers, paid attendance differs by bargaining unit. Please contact your union rep to clarify if you will be compensated.
Additionally, all conference attendees must request off September 11 prior to the event.
