We had discussions with the employers this week regarding a new collective-bargaining agreement, however, the executive session progress we had been making up until this week seems to have slowed.
The bargaining committee is reviewing proposals from the companies and will be making a decision in the next week as to whether or not it is worthwhile to proceed with the current “off-the-record” approach.
We will be scheduling advisory committee updates in the next week or two as developments unfold.
Arizona’s minimum wage is increasing on January 1 and Flagstaff’s minimum wage is increasing even more; it will be higher than any other city in Arizona. Both of these increases are being factored into the current strategy for wage progressions and top rates.
