It’s no secret that supermarket floral departments struggled during the pandemic as many events were canceled, online shopping became the norm and those who did shop in person rushed to get in and out of stores quickly, not thinking about bringing home some bouquets—even though some beautiful flowers could have helped bring some happiness during the somber time.

As the world went into lockdown, florists closed their doors, while shoppers prioritized food over flowers and toilet paper over poms.
