Picket lines could soon pop up in front of Boise and Nampa grocery stores.
According to a news release from UFCW Local 555, the local workers’ union, workers have voted to authorize an Unfair Labor Practice strike against local grocer Albertsons. The vote to strike comes during union negotiations with the company.
The union said Albertsons has committed multiple “unfair labor practices,” including threatening to fire an employee once the contract is settled “in retaliation for his role in fighting for better wages.”
